Portable To Become Community Food Pantry UPDATE

HCS Portable To Become Community Food Pantry UPDATE
Posted on 11/15/2018
FoodUpdate: Due to a challenge when preparing the portable for the move, the relocation project has been delayed. The building is sitting in the same location with lots of caution tape until this problem is resolved. We will keep you posted as soon as we know when the move can proceed.
Hampstead School District is donating one of our portables to the community. The portable was previously used for classrooms, and meetings over the last 18 years. This fall, the portable has been vacant as we have moved all student services into the main building.

This portable will be donated to St. Anne's parish and re-purposed as a food pantry for those in Hampstead and the surrounding area. The parish is planning to open the food pantry at some point during the next two months.

The move is scheduled for Monday, November 12. This date was selected since school is closed that day in observance of Veteran's Day. Once the portable is relocated, Central School will have additional hot top space and parking for special events.
